The Illegals are being paid "under the table". This means they don't pay taxes or benefit costs, so their take home pay is much more than if a U.S. Citizen had the same job, even if the pay per hour is less.
The solution is to make it difficult for them to live here in their Illegal status.

Several years ago a federal law was enforced paper wise which required that an applicant had to show a social security card - the original, not a copy, nor could it be laminated. They also had to have a photo id issued by the state or federal government. Then he/she signed it as being true and the person hiring them also had to sign it as a witness to having viewed the documents. If those required documents were not kosher, the employer who signed the paperwork was subject to a $10,000 fine and/or jail time. FEDERAL LAW that is already in place but is it enforced?
No, Americans are not lazy and I did not say they were. I said the young Americans who turn down the work/pay rate that I was speaking of have not bought into a work ethic yet. However, they want to start out with the luxuries that their parents worked for years to attain. In the meantime, the Mexicans - legal or otherwise - are happy to take these jobs. So when all is said, you don't have an answer either, do you?
