They say better late than never but......
give it a rest?....many here think if you criticize the Pres they are traitors or trolls etc.....NOT SO...hey, you have arguements in your family I'm sure...does that mean you dont' love them.....of course not....hell, Tancredo has been beating this drum for years....I only mentioned it once on this thread.......would you tell Tancredo to give it a rest also?.....
He'd campaigned on it in 2000. This wasn't a hidden policy.
Sure there is, he can say he's simply going to enforce the laws on the books and stop pandering to illegal aliens.
They should just change their stations names too... "We hate Bush, and will destroy the moral of the troops" and be done with it.
True but he says he wants to create a guest worker program. We already HAVE one, its called a VISA. I think this speech was weak rhetoric. I do not often say such things about my president. But on this topic he sucks.
He said nothing about the Mexican government's involvment in smuggling of people. He said nothing about cross border SHOOTING done by the Mexican military.
Hyping the doubling of border gaurds is rhetoric....when you need 30 thousand folks and you double 2 folks to 4 folks I can see why one would claim the double factor rather than the actual increase in response as to problem.
I do not think most would call W's response to illegals reasonable or fair. I support W on most of his positions but I firmly oppose him on this one.
You work at MacDonald's?
Instead of building a fence (that's so offensive), let's build a giant mote, fill it with endangered fish and wildlife, call it a protected wildlife preserve, and then arrest the illegals on Endangered Species Act violations!

Paul, what does creating a worker permit program do? It makes every illegal already here, "LEGAL". They will be able to get a work permit and legitimization.
I've asked this question on the forum before, and haven't gotten an answer to it. Will a government that REFUSES to send people home today, do it in six years when the worker permit expires?
This just punts the ball down the road and makes it possible for millions more foreign nationals to enter the United States via a legal vs an illegal flood of humanity. Each of them will be legal, and not a single one will EVER be asked to leave the U.S.
Bush has just committed to legitimizing a human flood of Mexican and south American immigrants into this nation that will never leave.
I listened to every word. What did I miss?
MSNBC had on Hardball and CNN was talking about Cunningham...
Where were you in 2000 when he campaigned on changing the immigration laws? His direction has always been to make it easier to come to this country.
Sorry, your answer was a good one and humorous....
me too....now he says he won't sign a bill that has amnesty....didn't he allude to this earlier but not in those words.....hey, some here think I"m beating on the Pres, but this issue has been neglected for far too long..we all have our major issues.....
Take away the welfare benefits and we may be able to make progress.
Moral = Morale
Not bad.
