Why does the federal government owe displaced people free hotel rooms in fancy hotels for months on end? Perhaps one can make a case a temporary cot and meals in a shelter is warranted, but to continue housing them after 3 months...?

Instead of offering "free" housing, FEMA should have offered to pick up 50% of the rent and let them pick up the rest. The slugs would then have more incentive to find a new location and job instead of sitting around eating junk food all day watching Oprah! while waiting for somebody else to buy them a new house or welfare apartment back in New Orleans.

Is it any wonder some people act this way when they have been mired in government dependency on the Welfare Plantation all of their natural lives? Now would be a good time for them to change their parasitic personal habits - an excellent time, in fact!
