I would hope on this point alone that every American would be outraged by this proposed memorial that ends up being a tribute to the Muslim Islamic killers rather than the American heroes who fought back and resisted them, as well as the other American victims who died on that day.

It is not and was not what you say it is. This myth was debunked right after it came out. It is a nonstarter. Politicians that 'jumped on this' are similar to the 'Levee rumors' spread by the nation of islam leader, whats his name, Fahrekan(sp).

I had previously read the article you referenced in post #87, and this is the same type of politically correct condescending elitist garbage that the World Trade Memorial planners tried to pass along when they wanted to include an "International Freedom Center" (or something like that) as the main attraction of the World Trade memorial. It wasn't until the outrage became overwhelming that finally even the liberal Rino NY Governor Pataki spoke out against it.

Whether the crescent design is intentional or unintentional, it is especially inappropriate and should not constitute in any way, shape or form this memorial.
I doubt very much the "myth has been debunked" as you claim it has. The article you referenced was the left-wing MSM politically astute view as to smearing and denigrating the legitimate concerns over this design.I think the concerns are legitimate and real. The design should be scrapped and re-done.

By the way, the 8 Stage II family members hardly constitute a majority of the 40 members. Especially when one of the Stage II jury members is Tom Sokolowski, the director of the Andy Warhol Museum, who says the claim is "asinine" and goes on to attack & disparage those protesting this as "delusional....small-minded, bigoted view is disgusting and repellent." His support alone makes me question the appropriateness and underlying political nature of the crescent design. Also I understand that Teresa Heinz Kerry's left-wing foundation was instrumental in funding and chosing the design architect Paul Murdoch. That also makes me suspicious of the ulterior motives behind the crescent design. And I understand that the U.S. Park & Rec website to solicit comments on the design has been shut down or is no longer operable.
