Just registered with this site. Don't know what "bump" means.
Bump means you're bumping this thread to the top of the message display in the main forum window. After anyone posts a reply the thread goes to the top of the list.
Bump, BTTT, means to reply to a thread for the purpose of keeping it current on the screen. This works for only a very short time since everything scrolls by rapidly.
What it means is that I am trying to keep the story near the top as it is important.
I also gave it a bump for a selfish reason, I wanted to have a post of mine own on this thread so that I could easily come back to this article in the future.
People bump an article to keep it up top in the current postings for other people to see and post on.
People also bump an article for self reference so that they can log into their own account look at their postings and rereference the article.
