I have personal knowledge of this event. This woman was the mother of my one of my best friends. My Wife is at their home as we speak. We were notified yesterday afternoon by the daughter in-law. Please pray for these folks in their time of sorrow.

FYI: MR. Hernandez and his family are illegal aliens and the dogs in question all belonged to them. Apparently the dogs were not being fed regularly and roamed in a pack. The other man who discovered the body was sent to the hospital to receive rabies treatments as a precaution.

I'm so sorry to hear that. There was no reason for this to occur. Prayers for the family and friends.

Why am I not surprised?

May God bless this family in their grief. May the victim RIP. I ask this in Jesus name. Amen.

It's about time we rid this country of illegal aliens one at a time as they are noticed by the local PDs. Let's start with this family and I can think of a few things to do with these killer dogs.

I was only yards away from Mrs. Stiles' house, playing outside with 5 children, 48 hours ago. After heading inside for the evening, one of the topics of conversation was dogs in the neighborhood -- I kid you not. Our discussion began because we had been talking about all of the coyotes that were roaming the area in recent weeks. We also talked about the dog that was laying at my feet, and how it was an extremely protective guard dog, etc. This dog was either penned up in the yard given all the company (& children) present, or in a cage in the house. For a short period of time, the dog was permitted to walk about the living room where the adults were sitting. The dog was also wearing a shock collar.

The problem with Milam County is that there are no leash laws because of how rural the area is.

Not two hours ago after reading this, I spoke with my family living in Thorndale. I asked about the immigration status of the dog owners. My family didn't have that information. I see that I was right, according to your post. This dog-owner family has children in the Thorndale public school system, for FReepers wanting to know.

Bottom line...Milam County needs to make laws placing fences around these animals, and the US needs to build a fence to keep these illegal, no speaka da Inglish killers of retirees on riding lawn mowers on their own property, out of this country.

WAKE up, America!!!

thx for the info....

in California, they prosecuted two people for MURDER when their two dogs, that lived in an apt with them, got free and savaged a young lady while one of the owners looked on in horror......

now, I think that case was one of over prosecution, pressured by a large gay community (San Francisco) and a gay prosecutor....( victim was a gay woman)

however, there is a place where humans must be held responsible for alowing animals to roam free like this neighbor did.....he must be held accountable....he must do some jail time .....
