"I'm for Smoke-Free public places" A restaurant isn't a public place. It's private property where the owner allows the public access to it. Once again, a liberal position".

---A restaurant is most certainly a public place. Let's not split hairs here. Here's how it works: The Restaurant can be owned privately or publicly (Corporation). Irregardless........they are open to the public and acknowledge and agree prior to opening to abide by the guidelines of the local Health and Safety Department.

Smoking is a health hazard, thus, cig smoke is being eliminated from public places....especially where people eat. But, that's another topic for another time. Many Conservatives in Washington and California voted for the Smoking Bans. New York City, too.

I also love this idea, too by Republican John Moolenaar: HERE . "Parents" should never smoke in their cars with their young children.

Focus is important when one starts a thread. I missed the transition from Anti-"Sport Hunting" to Anti-smoking. But hey, it is your thread. Personally, it p!sses me off when some politician subsidizes cigarette smoking for the wildlife. It is quite obvious that you eschew any behavior that is unhealthy or enjoyable, and desire government prohibition on smoking or hunting. Yet you fully embrace "rights" for homosexuals whose activities present significant risk to public health, and you do not consider these activities to be an affront to God.
