Not caring to speak for anyone else, but look at post 3. The claim therein seems to be that this is something new, and the result of recent ideas. It's not. What's new is that we're hearing about it and giving a damn.

I wasn't defending the practice at all. I personally believe that slavers should be executed and am even willing to do it myself. My point was that one shouldn't be suprised at this behaviour.
