Teheran 'secretly trains' Chechens to fight in Russia (well ruskies build them more nukes)

Iran is secretly training Chechen rebels in sophisticated terror techniques to enable them to carry out more effective attacks against Russian forces, the Sunday Telegraph can reveal.

Teams of Chechen fighters are being trained at the Revolutionary Guards' Imam Ali training camp, located close to Tajrish Square in Teheran, according to Western intelligence reports.

In addition to receiving training in the latest terror techniques, the Chechen volunteers undergo ideological and political instruction by hardline Iranian mullahs at Qom.

The disclosure that Iran is training Chechen rebels will not go down well in Moscow, which regards itself as a close ally of the Iranian regime.

Russia has sided with Iran in the diplomatic stand-off over Teheran's controversial nuclear programme.

Iran factfile

While the British and American governments have accused Iran of having a clandestine nuclear weapons programme, the Russians, who are building Iran's Bushehr nuclear power plant, back Teheran's claim that their nuclear intentions are solely peaceful.

Moscow has offered a face-saving formula to prevent Iran from being reported to the United Nations Security Council for its failure to co-operate fully with UN nuclear inspection teams.

Under the terms of the deal, the Russians would oversee Iran's nuclear enrichment activities to ensure that only partially enriched uranium, which is not of weapons grade, is produced.

At this weekend's meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna, America and Britain gave their qualified backing to the Russian proposal in the hope that it might resolve the crisis in the agency's dealings with Teheran.

But the Iranians are growing increasingly suspicious of Moscow's intentions, and it is for this reason that Western intelligence officials believe that Iran's hardline president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, has sanctioned the training of Chechen fighters in Teheran.

"Just as they have orchestrated attacks against British troops in Basra to pressure Britain to drop its opposition to Iran's nuclear programme, so they are trying to put pressure on Moscow by backing Chechen fighters," said a senior intelligence official.

How can you be a close ally of a country that wants to cut your throat?

It is hard to believe the Russians need to be told this by anyone else (especially the Press). If nothing else, they still have a good intelligence service. It just illustrates how dangerous a game they are playing--kinda like Russian Roulette.

A country that has a list of 4,000 people who want to be suicide bombers and is training terrorists to serve in Russia, America France, Iraq , In fact in most every country in the world should be considered a country that has Weapons of Mass Destruction.

Iran wants to get Nuclear weapons so they can destroy Israel, They dont care about the consequences because in their crazy minds they are on a misssion from their screwed up god.

You can bet on one thing if they ever get a Nuclear weapon we will all know it because their first test of it will be in Israel.

Tell your Russian government that an ally of Russia is supporting its enemy to create another Islamist country on the border of Russia while Russia is attempting to provide Iran nuclear equipments. If sanctions would be applied, that may stop or decrease the financial support to the Chechen fighters.

Less than 5% of the GWOT is being shown in the media, and Russia is already one of the main combatants you don't hear too much about there.

It never occurs to the author Iran is mainly training the Chechens for Iraq. The Chechens are already extremely well trained for fighting the Russians. So much for good reporting from the Telegraph.

I don't buy it. Not that I don't believe Iran trains terrorists, there is no doubt about that, but this? This whole article is written on a "source" with no evidence. Lets see what Iran has to gain from this: nothing. Chechens are Sufies and most of the fighting in Chechnya is done by Chechen pro-Moscow militias against Wahhabies Islamics. Who supports and funds the Wahhabies? Well our good buddies and killers of our soldiers, women and children and givers of $50+ million/year to DC: House of Saud.

Saudi Arabia dispises the Shietes and sees them as a bigger enemy then the Christians and Jews. Further, they're fighting with Iran for domination in the area. If Iran did this, and believe me, considering Russian "interrigation" tactics they'd beat it out of their prisonners, Iran would loose its main backer on the world stage, mean while DC won't stop supporting the Saudies. So why would Iran pull such a stupid move. They're fanatics, they're islamics but don't for one second believe they're stupid or don't realize how far to push the envelope without getting smacked down.

So no, I don't buy this.

If Iran is training them why are the mercs being killed there Arabs (ME arabs and lots and lots of BRITISH JIHADIES). Yup, Her Majesties citizens are butchering Christians, Jews and Hindus and for some reason the Brits don't do a damn thing to stop them when they go somewhere else to do their killings.

Since when Iran is supporting pro-Saudi Wahabies (who think that Shia are nasty heretics)? Last time they interacted it was when Iran (and Russia) sponsored Northern Alliance helped Americans to remove Taliban from power.
