I choose to disagree with you on this basis....
If I were in a plane and I had a parachute, yet
I left someone behind to hold a gun on the pilot
to be certain the plane was flown into a building,
thus murdering countless people.
Would I be guilty of murder if the plane is flown
into the building after I parachute out of the
plane, or should I simply receive 30 years but first
go on a speaking tour prior to serving my 30 years?
Check her website. It said she was to address the students of Clara Barton HS in Brooklyn.
I'm sorry, I take it all back. She has the support of this cop-killer. So she MUST be ok. *eyeroll* http://www.lynnestewart.org/lynnemumia2.html
Right, but if you passed information on to someone about which plane to hijack, fly into which buildings to kill lots of people, BUT THEY NEVER DID IT, then you would not be guilty of killing the people who did not get killed.
Similarly here she passed information on. It was a crime. She can be held responsible for any crimes that were committed based on what she passed along. So the issue is was her crime of passing on the information greater than any crime committed based on what she passed along. Fortunately, it seems her crime of passing along the information was the greatest crime. That is fortunately it seems she did not pass along anything that led to a further great harm.
Mumia Abu-Jamal
an excellent character witness....
(heavy sarcasm)
For what was she convicted? It couldn't be for her statement or personal disdain for our institutions; those are 1st Amendment protected. I would surmise from the comments that she was engaged in some aspect of a criminal conspiracy.

passing information detailing a crime is a crime....
whether the crime is committed or not, makes no
difference.
and IMHO her crime(s) are worthy of a death penalty.
To say (a crime) hasn't happened or isn't going to
happen makes no difference. The law is clear on this.
30 years (IMHO) for this vermin is too light a sentence.
I despise this type of vermin.
She is a reminder of bin laden(s) throughout the world.
Sorry but some of what I stated is the law and some
of what I stated is my opinion. I think you know
which is which.
Hang the fat traitor. Liberal lawyers are a scourge upon the land, anyway.
Children of the victims of terroists should write to her and she should be forced to read their letters as part of her sentence.

Well that is not what you said earlier. You said, WHY WASN'T SHE GIVEN THE DEATH PENALTY. I explained to you why she was not subject to the death penalty. Had you said you were offerring an opinion rather than asking a question, I might not have responded.
I'm wondering if she spoke at the HS in Brooklyn. I might have to make a call this week and see if she spoke there. Then call the Board of Ed and ask why they allowed a convicted felon to speak there.
