That's really amazing. I can't believe her attitude so soon after he was killed.

She may be in shock yet.
She's probably going through a multitude of emotions.

I have seen these stupid people on their cell phones or whatever. They make me crazy; because they are not concentrating on driving. It is really scary.

You kill someone (albeit accidentally, but it could have been avoided), and you could go to jail for as much as a single year? That's crazy!

I'm not lawyer, but I don't think this would be classified as homicide. Perhaps a freeper legal eagle can help. Anyone out there?

A single year? Try 25 to life.
To: Pharmboy
involuntary manslaughter (IMHO)

I'm not a lawyer either, but this was homicide, and this kid is lucky he's a minor, or he'd be looking at a very serious charge.
To: andyk
Aw, thanks!
I'm lucky to have him! :)

The wife could have said a lot more than that, but that was the only part that was quoted. Newspapers do that a lot. That answer could have been in response to a direct question regarding the teen, and she took the high road. It's not unusual.

See 14--"involuntary manslaughter" seems right.

"We do not believe it was an intentional act,...This statement comes from a deep thinker it does.
Perhaps a lack of common sense brought on by a society that accepts a lack of it as normal?
