Democrats are going to criticize this Republican president, regardless of what he does. Their criticism has little to do with the merits of any issue, and everything to do with public perception. The current criticism of the war in Iraq has nothing to do with the security of the United States, and everything to do with tarnishing the president sufficiently to gain some political advantage.

That is exactly what I've been saying. The Democrats don't care about the loss of lives but only want to score political points and gain an advantage over the Republicans in the political arena. What GW is doing besides bringing democracy to Iraq and containing the terrorists, is planting the seeds of freedom in the Middle East. Eventually, these seeds will spread and inspire those whose lives are now being oppressed by religious fanatics and tyrannical governments.
