Did I hear correctly during the Fox news interview with Condi Rice by Jim Angle?
When he ended the interview I could swear he called her Madame President instead of Madame Secretary.
If not maybe it was wishful thinking on my part.
Like Hillary. Like Arhnold. I agree with you though, the American SHEEP won't bleat for anyone except "celebrities".
HIllary went for Senator, not President.
Regardless, what had she done before that?? Nothing. The seat was handed to her as if, "well P. Moynihan is retiring , so let's give it to Hillary, because we love BILL so much!" Brain-dead! Never mind that she never lived in NY, scrambled to buy a house (that she spends no time in), etc. Knew NOTHING whatsoever of the local politics or needs of the people, the sheep still voted her in. And now they're disappointed (I've actually heard NY'ers complain that they thought she would spend more time in the state and work on state issues). Gee, ya think???
I don't know about you, but calling people "sheep" isn't going to pull ANYONE over to your side. Yes that means I think you are talking down to those people, which is a very liberal trait I might add. Just look at DU if you want any further proof.
Secondly, so what that she DIDN'T know anything about the local politics, it wasn't OUR decision, nor is she my senator.
Thirdly, you missed the point that she has NOW held an elective office, one notch up from what Condi has done.
So she's held an elective office. I'll give her the credit for being able to deal with ordeal of that, which Condi has not done. It doesn't change the fact that we are all in serious trouble and have, as a society, become apathetic.
people weren't apathetic in November of 2004. I believe there were record numbers voting there.
People aren't going to keep that kind of intensity up for long. 99% of the support Bush got and probably the same ratio that Kerry got weren't FReepers and DUmmies. They were ordinary people. They don't stick their noses into politics 100% of the time like we do here.
