She moved from NC to Tennessee to her mother's home, first. In two weeks or so, she leaves for Pago Pago. Often, details which are correct but only part of the story, lead to conclusions that are unwarranted.

It seems like this has been in the works a while.
I suspect what many here take for complacency is just acceptance of the situation, and trying to be graceful about something you alone cannot change.
I have been there, it was not my choice.
