Whewtehr she was paid by sixc marines as a prosititute of not, either way these young soldiers were acting dishonorably, and have fueled the furnace to discredit the military in the eyes of liberal wing nuts and muslims alike. That makes our job in Indsonesia all the more difficult and dangerous.

Muslims in this case have something of a projection problem. There are muslims and "everyone else." You are either a conquered slave, an enemy or a muslim.
Muslim warfare explicitly allows rape of captured women. They don't have any standing to boo-hoo or point fingers over this incident.
As a matter of fact, you can observe some real life muslim behavior toward women in Thailand. Lots of Iranians and Gulf Arabs there. A lot of them couldn't fly there directly and better not show back up in their home countries with Thai visas in their passport but it certainly was a favorite destination.
Arab husbands don't necessarily take the wife on vacation with them and the Arab Times occassionally has some helpful advice to them on how to prevent their (weak) men from sinning.

Without hearing a word of evidence, I believe that she willingly went with the Marines, took their money and provided them a good time. Then she yelled after they parted. She suddenly becomes the good little girl abused and raped by this gang of Marines. Now how easy is that scenario to construct? Damned easy.
The Marines seem to have a good team of defenders. I hope they can get a satisfactory solution. If the facts show they did in fact gang rape an innocent woman, they should go to the US Navy prison at Portsmouth NH. If the evidence shows the sex was consensual, they need to be sent back to duty. However, there is a message in here to other military....watch your step!
Bullshit! These soldiers have seats next to GOD in my view. All soldiers do. These men and women in uniform are far more elevated in the status of respect than I give any other human beings...even cops. These guys get shot at 100 times a day, grenades thrown at them, people running up to them with bombs strapped to them selves, live in dirt, take a shower once a week...maybe, eat out of a bag, sleep in a truck, or on the ground. And you say "keep it in your pants"????? If I had the money, I'd charter a 777 and stop in PI, Pataya Beach, then Singapore, load the hell out of the plane and fly it to Iraq so these guys can have some R&R... My God, they could be dead tomorrow!
This girl was hangin' with six Marines in PI!!!! She was not a choir girl at the local church. This type of thing is VERY common there....whether there is ten guys, and one girl, or ten girls and one guy... Throw in a basket and there is not much other one can think about for a few hours. And dammit, if anyone is deserving of "Military custom" type of R&R, it is our boys doing something over there that not too many people off our streets would consider doing. They're too busy sitting back in the luxury and safety of their homes and computer chair passing judgment on a small group of folks who I believe should be exempt from civilian brow beating...what gives anyone the right unless they them selves are over there walking on the edge of DEATH??!!??!!??
