You do have a point, however. I should ratchet it down a bit. I just get really annoyed when people post messages that children (actual children...under the age of 18) should be accorded the same rights and responsibilities as an over-18 adult. These days, especially with the way things are going, that sort of thing all but guarantees child exploitation. And yeah, it gets me incredibly short-fused.

FYI, It hasn't been all that long that the age of consent was 14 for young ladies and 16 for guys--to get married in some states.

It is only in the last couple of generations that kids have been mollycoddled into being purt'near useless until 21 or so.
