BRUSSELS:
Angela Merkel reached out on Wednesday to the United States in her first foreign trip as German chancellor, saying it was time to heal the trans-Atlantic rift caused by Germany's opposition to the US-led war in Iraq.

Finally there is some hope in Europe, she understands the world under radical Islamic siege, she understands that Europe has to undestand US better.
FRANCE
Now with all Oily business shut for France, the French have less interest in fighting US over it.Maybe the Islamic Intifadah in recent weeks does not making any good friends rationalizing Jihadists in France. (Of course France has a beef with ourv American culture as well as being jealous about our greatness, but hopeful that we can share better understanding on the war on terror.)
UK
UK is basically OK.
ITALY
Italy did get it lonf befor the Germans did.
DENMARK
So did Denmark, even 'faster.'
BELGIUM
Belgium just tails France for the most part.
I hope we continue the draw down of troops and bases in Germany and eventually leave altogether. We've poured too much treasure into defending an ungrateful Western Europe all these decades.
I'd much prefer we kept 'Old Europe' at a distance , while developing closer ties with 'New Europe'. The UK would be the exception to that, of course.
If she really wants to heal the rift she can start by mobilizing the Wehrmacht and sending them into Iraq to help out.

Rool me once shame on you.
Fool me twoice? I don't think so, hey germany, UP YOURS.
What country has 2000+ troops in Afghanistan?
What country requires parliamentary approval before dispatching troops?
Extra credit:
What country wrote the constitution of the country above?
The chancellor's words would ring truer if her first stop hadn't been to France to kiss up to the Frogs.
Why?
So says you. You don't agree with me? I guess by that logic you're my enemy, hey?

The list of nations who didn't go charging into Iraq with us is pretty long. Does this mean they are my enemies? No, it doesn't. Germany has troops in Afghanistan. Clearly, if they think the cause is reasonable, they will be with us. They didn't want to go into Iraq. So what?
The UK and Australia probably won't be onboard if we decide to go into Iran. Do they suddenly become our enemies? I think not.
We'll be with you in Iran. Blair has said as much already.
Once more into the breach, dear friends.
Regards, Ivan
You were there for us..we were there for you...we are tied by blood and history that no Ocean or Leftist Politics can EVER break.
Hell, we BOTH are willing "to fight them on our shores", or theirs. I prefer theirs, so let's export the damn Left to Iran so we can "eliminate" them at the same time.
Nice to have each other's 6.
With a German government that has a communist/terrorist like Joschka Fischer as foreign Minister
