False neutrals are common on many motorcycles.

I had a 73 Honda that I could put in neutral between gears. I wasn't supposed to do that.......But then, the manual didn't say you couldn't do it.........The Dealer told me not to do it because it could suddenly "catch" and throw me off at a stoplight.......
