Oh man, I wished you were correct, the recent years of military analysis of the Chinese amphibious capabilities proves you to be in error. Not to mention the massive buildup of surface to surface missiles aimed at Taiwan's infrastructure, continuing covert operations on the island by Chinese agents to ensure sabotage to help facilitate the destruction of Taiwan's infrastructure and assassination of it's political leaders.
Dig deeper and I think you'll be surprised at what you'll find concerning China's up coming Navy, missile tech, amphibious attack modernization.

I'm completely familiar with the constant stream of pants-wetting panicky articles about the PLA military from the militarily uneducated and those with various axes to grind (biggest source: WingNutDaily) that regularly pollute FR, believe me.
Sadly, it seems you've bought them hook, line, and sinker.
