Former middle school teacher Debra Lafave leaves the Hillsborough County Courthouse Tuesday morning Nov. 22, 2005, after pleading guilty to two counts of lewd and lascivious battery. Lafave, 25, whose sexual liaisons with a 14-year-old middle school student made tabloid headlines, avoided prison as part of a plea agreement reached Tuesday. (AP Photo/Chris O'Meara)

She looks sweet to me. Crazy, but sweet.

She looks really creepy in that picture. It's the slightly unfocused eyes and the spaced-out look.

And c'mon. If you're 14, and THAT is coming on to you? She's the hottest thing in the world at that point. It doesn't excuse what she did, and I think she should be doing jail time for it, but let's get real. Compared to the rest of the rogue's gallery of teachers and aides jumping students, she's near the top of the list.

Big question: Would she have walked if she looked like Linda Tripp? Or would she now be twisting in the wind?

Too bad she isn't as pretty on the inside as she is on the outside.

Let's hope the cross necklace means she has repented, and will change her ways. It reminds of Madonna, and the like, living for the Devil and draping themselves in religious emblems.
