CNN SENIOR MANAGEMENT LAUNCHES INVESTIGATION OF CHENEY 'X'; CONTROL ROOM STAFFER 'LAUGHED' WHEN X FLASHED

CNN management has launched an internal investigation into how a giant black 'X' mark appeared over Vice President Dick Cheney's face -- as he delivered a speech from Washington on Monday!

"We are taking this matter very, very seriously, and I can assure you no one at this network would ever deliberately place an 'X' over the vice president's face," a top CNN source, who asked not to be named at this time, said from New York.

A well-placed CNN insider claims a control room staffer "laughed" when the image appeared shortly after 11 am.

A careful review of the tape now shows a white colored 'X' was also transposed over Cheney's face during the speech, it appeared for less than 1/15 of a second, creating a startling flash effect.

CNN spokeswoman Laurie Goldberg emails: "We concluded this was a technological malfunction not an issue of operator error. A portion of the switcher experienced a momentary glitch. We obviously regret that it happened and are working on the equipment to ensure it is not repeated."

A rival network news director asks: "When has an 'X' ever aired on CNN before? Who had the graphic sitting in the key signal? Who generated the 'X'?"

The vice president himself is said to have brushed off the incident, a White House source said early Tuesday morning.

That sounds logical. Also, wouldn't CNN have had an advance copy of the VPs remarks?

So far, the White House has said it best, "Is CNN trying to tell us something?"

"You could type the text into the CHYRON generator, make it any size you wanted and have it ready for when the director called for it."

They still use Chyron CG's but they've been computer automated for over 10 years. I know first hand, because 10 years ago I wrote software to design screens and automate them via serial port. My handiwork was on air for the '96 election, and for all I know, the code is still in use. Maybe it's my fault! :)

I remember watching a documentary on the Tet Offensive. The NVA and Viet Cong immediately took control of the radio stations in the city. They say that the truth is the first casualty in every war.

This is what has happened to our media. The communist/socialist have taken control and the truth is our first casualty. I'm hoping that the MSM is will the second casualty.

It's important to know their sponsor and hit them in the pocket book.

That's a pretty big X. I don't buy CNN's weak excuses, because of their obvious bias against Republicans and conservatives.

Come on, this is no operator malfunction. What we are learning is simply what we knew all along......the major networks, ABC, CNN, NBC, CBS, are all full of left wing liberals behind the controls, filled with left wing nuts in the Producers, Reporters, and Anchors chairs. While one staffer was reported to have been heard laughing, I assure you, he/ or she was not the only one who got a chuckle out of this, at CNN.

Why is it that I remain unconvinced? Does anyone remember how much play that CNN gave to the idiotic "RATS" subliminal message story during the 2000 election? I don't specifically remember how CNN played it, but the media as a whole made it a top story during the height of the campaign. So if CNN played up the RATS story, why should anyone believe THEM now that a similar "glitch" has occurred?

That bogus "RATS ad" story generated a FRONT PAGE ABOVE THE FOLD STORY in the New York Times and caused a firestorm on the campaign trail that took the Bush campaign off message for two entire days. It didn't matter that it was almost immediately debunked by Brit Hume. Does anyone think we will see a front page, above the fold story in tomorrow's NYT about this CNN "glitch?"

"When the X ballcap craze was on, so long ago, I got myself a U of Virginia cap, with the big V on it. When people would ask about it, I let them know that--like those people showing support for Malcolm the Tenth--I was showing support for my hero, the Christian warrior-king Henry V. Was priceless to see the libs' reactions. :-)"

Remember this?

http://www.one38.org/a177/2004_01_25_archive.html#107510027863729862

A man with an "X" on his hat asked John Kerry about resonating outside of New England, and he said that Kerry could prove it to him by explaining the relevance of the cultural icon on his hat. He was a white guy, and John Kerry didn't know what it was. "The Roman Numeral 10?" he asked. "I don't know, tell me?"

It was Malcolm X! Of course.

Do not forget: We are at war.

The United States was attacked on September 11, 2001, as definitely and as certainly as it was attacked at Pearl Harbor, and the significance is the same.

The people of America never wanted war in either case. It was thrust upon them. And in both cases, their only choice was to acknowledge that they were at war and to defeat the enemy that had attacked.

The importance of this cannot be overemphasized.

The importance of clarity concerning this also cannot be overemphasized, and, in particular, scrupulous clarity and unbiased, truthful reporting from sources of information--notably the "Newsmedia"--is of utmost importance, in order to keep the public truthfully informed--another matter that cannot be overemphasized.

And furthermore, the importance of defeating the enemy cannot be overemphasized.

Clarity and truth in all these matters are of utmost importance.

"It was the belief of Thucydides that if democracies brought multifaceted advantages to war, their raucous assemblies, constant second-guessing, grand-standing, and hypercriticism severely hampered military operations."
~Victor Davis Hanson~
A War Like No Other. New York: Random House, 2005, p. 311
Add to that reckless, irresponsible, biased and slanted "news reporting" that dangerously misinforms the public, dangerously serves the enemy, and amounts to pro-enemy propaganda.

The "X" appeared because the dicipline at CNN is Lax. Give that whole damn network an enema, frequent toilet breaks and puleeeeeeese, have them keep their personal constipational problems off the air!

Myth debunker Snopes CONFIRMS the "Nigger Innis" MSNBC story. His name is *Niger*.

Origins: On Monday, 4 February 2002, MSNBC conducted an interview about the "Enron mess" with Niger Innis, national spokesman for the Congress of Racial Equality and political commentator.

The network apologized for the incident.

I have worked in video production in the past, I can not think of any graphics software or tool that accidentally superimposes an X on anything. This would have to to be an X - probably generated by some text tool that a switcher could turn on and off.

They probably thought no-one would notice.

Maybe they borrowed the "X" from the Family Feud and colored it black.

Wouldn't be actually that surprising that some whacked out CNN lib just lost it for a minute and couldn't resist.

No doubt. Especially if that CNN employee is also DUmmie. They should take this employee's home computer and see what his screen name is.
