I was in Borders Books yesterday and overheard a little girl, 8 or so, read "Holly Bibble" off a shelf.
"No, honey, her dad said, it's 'Holy Bible'".
"Daddy, what's a Bible?"
Maybe we can start there.
Charles Starkweather was executed via electric chair in Lincoln, Nebraska. Caril Fugate was also tried for murder but was not given the death penalty. She served time in Nebraska for many years and at some point was given parole. She left town and I have no idea what she is doing now.
Thank you! I had never heard of the Starkweather/Fugate case until the Borden murders.

I read a few days back that they can't do any charges until she has legal guardians appointed.
Just a matter of time, I guess.
It is roomered that Carol Ann Fugate now lives in Detroit MI under an assumed name.
Uh, Caril Ann Fugate was 14, not 15. She was born in July 1943.
Starkweather was executed on June 25, 1959. Caril did 18 years in prison and now lives in Lansing, Michigan. She’ll be 66 years old at the end of the month
There’s no evidence that Caril Ann Fugate was anywhere near her home when her family was murdered. As for her half sister, she wasn’t strangled, her skull was smashed in with the butt of a rifle. There wasn’t really any evidence that killed anyone, ust Charlie’s testimony which he changed his stories seven times, while Caril always maintained the same story. She claimed that Charlie said he was holding her family hostage and that they would be safe as long as she did what he said. As for why she continued to stay with Charlie after killing August Meyer, Tim Roth (who played Chharlie in Murder In The Heartland) stated: “when you watch someone blow someone’s head off, you do what the person with the gun tells you”.
