RYE BROOK, N.Y. - Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton said Monday that an immediate U.S. withdrawal from Iraq would be "a big mistake."
The New York Democrat said she respects Rep. Jack Murtha, D-Pa., the Vietnam veteran and hawkish ex-Marine who last week called for an immediate troop pullout. But she added: "I think that would cause more problems for us in America."
"It will matter to us if Iraq totally collapses into civil war, if it becomes a failed state the way Afghanistan was, where terrorists are free to basically set up camp and launch attacks against us," she said.
At the same time, Clinton said the Bush administration's pledge to stay in Iraq "until the job is done" amounts to giving the Iraqis "an open-ended invitation not to take care of themselves."
Clinton, who is running for re-election to the Senate and is seen as a likely presidential candidate in 2008, suggested that the United States wait for Iraq's Dec. 15 elections for an indication about how soon the Iraqis can take over.
"Until they vote for a government, I don't know that we will have adequate information about how prepared they are," she said.
She blamed the problems facing the United States in Iraq on "poor decision-making by the administration," but added: "My view is we have to work together to fix these problems."

Okay, now it becomes clearer and clearer. Murtha sets up the vote on immediate withdrawal that everyone can see is basically, the radical left position, and then here comes CENTRIST HILLARY to campaign for "the right thing to do".
The American public is being set up day after day, and have no idea what a Hillary presidency would do to this country.

Hillary did some polling and focus group testing before taking a position. She has no morals. Everything is calculated.

Why don't they quote a real President - like President Geena Davis?

Hillary knows the truth about Iraq and doesn't want to wind up on the wrong side of history.

Hillary did some polling and focus group testing before taking a position. CAKE: Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton said Monday that an immediate U.S. withdrawal from Iraq would be "a big mistake."
EATING IT TOO: At the same time, Clinton said the Bush administration's pledge to stay in Iraq "until the job is done" amounts to giving the Iraqis "an open-ended invitation not to take care of themselves."

I don't believe this is simple poll-and-make-up-my-mind. I believe this is a co-ordinated manipulation of the press, to influence public opinion.
Hillary knows she's got a L-word label tattooed on her forehead. So we install Howard the Screamer as DNC head, and let the loony left run the show. Hillary will have their votes in '08, leaving her free to court the center.
So when the radicals come out, she can sit back and wag her finger, and say "No, no.....now you've gone to far."

With the Patriot Act in place, there a lot of things Hillary may do as president.

Bingo!!! Range Correct!! Fire for Effect, over!!!
When did Hitlary EVER do anything that wasn't a calculated lie? The DNC knows that the polls are rigged against President Bush. They know where America stands... And Hitlary plans to capitalize on it. Just like the National Socialists went after communists to "prove" the NAs were not communists, the DNC 08 pick will run against the "anti-war" movement to prove she is not "anti-war", even though she is "anti-war" (where the US and/or Isreal are winning) just like the NAs were actually marxists.

What concerns me is the push for Bill to head the U.N., with the possibility of Hillary as Prez.
Could you imagine the raw power at their collective fingertips? (shudders)

She is after all married to WJC - a world class politician if there ever was one. Agree or disagree with him, he knows the art of spin and deception better than most.

Hmmm, let's see, with the left's obsession for projectionism, I would say "Do everything they accuse President Bush of doing?"
