My family is in a rut! I have so many new things I wanna make but they always want the basics. That's ok I guess...I cook for their enjoyment! I do manage to slip in one new dish every year!:)

I love to try new recipes.
You can generally tell by reading them if they are worth the effort.
EG..I am never going to cook any thing with molasses in them. I can taste the vaguely sulfurous taste from across the room.
I won't like it.
