saying she wanted to marry him and start a new life.

Why not.... after stopping a couple?

Weird karma.

There is a reason 14 year old girls are not legally allowed to make this decision, they are not mature enough.

Excerpt from Fox News:

In court documents filed in Pennsylvania, prosecutors said Kara Borden ran from her home to get into Ludwig's car after the Nov. 13 shootings.

"(Kara) told the defendant that she wanted to stay with him, and they drove west with the intent to 'get as far away as possible, get married, and start a new life,"' Ludwig told detectives, according to the court papers.

In my opinion, she's in this as deeply as Ludwig.

Let me see if I understand this idiocy. A 18 year has the right to take a 14 year old into his custody without the parents consent and it is not kidnapping? Lancaster county is becoming a place not to live if you have kids... Come to think of it her parents aren't living there any more.

Anybody recall crazy King Ludwig? Of Neuschwanstein and Linderhof castles fame... idolized Richard Wagner even.

Ludwig (Louis) II, King of Bavaria, Ludwig Friedrich Wilhelm; sometimes known in English as "Mad King Ludwig" (August 25, 1845 - June 13, 1886) was king of Bavaria from 1864 until his death.

Born in Nymphenburg (today part of Munich), he was the son of Maximilian II of Bavaria and Princess Marie of Prussia. Ludwig was continually reminded of his royal power as a child, and his education swayed between being extremely spoiled on some occasions to being severely controlled by his protectors on others. This no doubt played a role in what later accounts describe as strange behavior.

Wanted to marry and start a new life?

I guess they were both to stupid to realize that it is against God's law and the laws of the USA to murder two people.

Why didn't they just split instead of killing the parents? Surely they must have realized more people would be looking for murder suspects than runaway teenagers...

There was an interesting show that kind of dealt with this scenario about two or three weeks on the CBS show "Close to Home".
Bottom line was that the girl was the instigator of the murder of her parents. I have seen pictures of this girl and she looks 14 going on 30.
Will be interesting to see what this kid says when they get through questioning him about the girl.

She really thought this guy could murder her parents, then they'd marry and live happily ever after? Can a person really be that stupid?

Wonder why no one's mentioned Charles Starkweather and Caril Fugate's little romp in Nebraska and Wyoming in 1958?

It sounds exactly like the same thing, only they caught this murderous SOB before he could go on a killing spree like Starkweather did (killed 11, I think).
