He disappears from the news for a while and sometimes I forget just how awesome V.P. Chaney is. He has a very Reaganesque speech style. I wonder if the demonrats don't secretly wish they could be Republicans after one of his speeches.

Standing ovation! Thank you, Mr. Vice President!
...their [the terrorists] only chance for victory is for us to walk away from the fight. They have contempt for our values, they doubt our strength, and they believe that America will lose our nerve and let down our guard. But this nation has made a decision: We will not retreat in the face of brutality, and we will never live at the mercy of tyrants or terrorists.
This is an inspiring and eminently quotable speech, the embodiment of leadership and statesmanship. Thank God for Mr. Cheney.
And that is just my humble opinion.

Thanks Dita! I am waiting to watch it again at 8 PM on c-spam.
Also, wish I could find Ken Mehlman's speech being televised. Any information on that?

I just read the speech; it's a good'n.
Are the American surrender monkeys simply unable to grasp this, or are they willing to accept extinction in the long term in exchange for power in the short term?
I pick door number two. I haven't seen anything from the loony left that leads me to believe they wouldn't stoop to sedition and/or treason to try to reacquire power. And in fact, have. We need to come up with a new name for this bunch; anti-American just doesn't have the proper ring to it. I dunno; Bolsheviks comes about as close as anything I can come up with. The Bolshevik party??? Bolshecrats? Nah.

I wish I had known that speech was coming in time to put a blank tape in the old recorder. FWIW, the speech is supposed to be reaired at 8:00(central?).

Well, you missed it. Vice President Cheney did an excellent job on his speech and he is such a distinquished gentleman unlike some. Yup, I did miss it but hope to catch it later this evening. Dick Cheney is nothing if not a class act.

I wonder if the demonrats don't secretly wish they could be Republicans after one of his speeches. Heh. If they had any principles on which to stand instead of the raw lust for power, they too could be relevant. Their jaded social-isms have grown old and true Americans have rejected their scam. Thank God!

Does C-Span have a complete schedule posted anywhere? Not that I'm aware of but I did run across a clip of the speech on their MAIN PAGE. We don't HAVE to wait!

This speech needs to be played over and over and over and over.

This speech needs to be played over and over and over and over. Someone else asked how this speech might be spun in the TOM(Tired Old Media), and since I don't actually receive any of the "Big Three", I'd be curious to know how they have handled it. Or if they even acknowledged it. The enemy bears watching at times.

Yes, Cspan should carry it. He was so dignified and confident in his speech. He is a good man. Remember what Lynn Cheney said about Kerry? "This is just NOT a good man." God, I'll never forget that as long as I live. What a way to put it and it was correct. She said it like it was and I sooooo admired her for it. To this day she is correct..."This is just NOT a good man." But then again, not many are in the dem/lib party. They prove that day after day.
