Me three:) This is a re-statement of all the righteous reasons for our position and actions...that I've heard from the White House for years.
However- what they need to remember is Americans have to hear this over..and over..with updates..every couple of weeks..
Oh man ... He is NAILING IT!
terrorists at war with this country long before Iraq...Beirut...Mogadishu...WTC1....Kohbar...Kenya...Tanzania...Cole....believed they could strike us with impunity.
Trying to test our resolve in Iraq now. Iraq part of a larger plan to promote radical Islam across ME.
Dangerous illusion to think another retreat would satisfy terrorists to leave us alone. Withdrawl would be a terrorist victory.
Believing they could change US policy, they hit us on the homeland on 9/11.
Now they are trying to intimidate the US into abandoning our friends.
Recently we obtained a message from Al Zakarowi. The letter makes clear that Iraq is part of a larger plan. He also says we can be made to run again.
In light of the commitments we have made, those who advocate a sudden withdrawl should answer this:
Would US and other nations be better off with Al Zacakari in control of Iraq?
Would we be better off with men intent on destroying our country.
It is dangerous to think another retreat will satisfy the terrorists. Another retreat will convince the terrorists that we abandon our interests when confronted with blackmail and murder. It would hurt the future of the US.
This pessismism comes at a time of real progress in Iraq. Lists some progress.
Thank God I just got my computer unfrozen and listening to this great man, who is laying it out for those politicians and the American people who have forgotten that our troops are defending us from TERRORISM spelled large.
Well, I am going to ignore them. This is a great speech. I bet more is on the way this week, too.

VP Cheney is roasting the lying A$$es of America re their lies and attempted revision of history re Iraq.
Cheney is doing great! Speaking clearly enough and pacing his words well enough for even the most senior Dems (Kennedy, Byrd, etc.) to follow along.
This is the point I have trouble understanding why the 'Rat revisionists don't get. Saddam could likely have headed off this confrontation by complying with the resolutions. But he chose the hard way, kicking out the UN inspectors and thumbing his nose at the international community. Saddam thought he could brazen it out, gambling that the US didn't have the brass to go in and kick him out. He won that gamble when Clinton was in office, but he lost when Bush got into office.
The 'Rats don't seem to understand that all Saddam had to do was comply with the UN resolutions and conditions that were placed after the first Gulf War. He chose not to do that, and thereby sealed his fate.

Every benchmark has been met successfully. The political leaders of Iraq are steady and courageous. The soldiers of that country have stepped forward as partaners and running for office and defending their country.
You can always be counted on to find the single turd in the field of daisies!
