Whenever you see the word "social" in a political context, always assume that the speaker means "government" unless the context dictates otherwise. "Social justice" is simply "government justice" - tyranny. I always thought that "social" meant "non-."

"Where do maggots like this come from? And how do they get into any position of authority?"
Maggot eventually breed and higher-up maggots select and promote maggots of whom they approve. The need for educational reform and severe reshaping of the academic system is at hand.

What drives me nuts about all this "academic freedom" rhetoric is that it is now and has always been a myth.
Put aside the fact that an outspoken conservative cannot get hired let alone advanced at 95% of American universities. Ignore that hypocrisy and pretend for a moment that advocates of academic freedom are not cynical liars but honest people.
Even then, "academic freedom" is ridiculous on its face.
Students pay money in tutition and taxpayers pay taxes to support these insitutions for a purpose: education.
They do not pay to be personally insulted, or hectored, or lectured, nor do they pay money to the teachers they hire to dabble in politics or organize marches.
All Americans are free to hold whatever opinions they desire on any topic they desire.
But that doesn't mean that they should be expect to be paid for having an opinion.
Daly has a right to say whatever he wants to say. He does not have a right to a job with WCC or any other institution and he does not have a right to be paid to insult the taxpayers who write him his paychecks.

The college has put out two additional press releases, each one showing less support for Daly... I doubt he will be there much longer. He's a part-time adjunct who's been there a year. Not worth the adverse publicity.

Not exactly! My husband used to be chair of his department and he would have loved to have more professors agree with him about things! He tolerated an enormous amount of difference with the way he looked at things. There are lots of factors that go into the support that professors get from the rest of the faculty and the administration.

Heard this on Hannity Friday. I am not surprised. I went to school there and there are a lot of lib professors.
Hannity was trying to get the professor to debate him there at the college. I hope it happens and I will attend. Hopefully a lot of FReepers will be able to attend as well.
Warren County's quiet country setting is a conservative area, but libs keep moving there to escape the bigger cities.

Freeholder DiMaio is a Republican and fairly conservative. I am glad he took a stand against this professor.

I get so tired of the libs & their ilk trying to flush this country down the toilet. They're so deluded they're dangerous.

Daly will soon have life-time tenure.
That's the way "the academy" works these days.

Actually I find no difference between the "progressive" liberals (aka, the modern left) and the National Socialists. Communism has another name: Red Fascism. The DNC platform reads almost word for word like the CPA's platform. Move-On.org and ANSWER are funded by the WWP and CPA, along with many other groups who desire nothing more than to destroy America and force despotic socialism upon the world.
You can, if you can stomach it, go to
http://www.stormfront.org and see for yourself how the supremacist movement has always aligned itself with the "progressives". One of their posts actually complained that the communists had stolen the anti-war movement from stormfront since the Stormies were all for any policy that killed Jewish people, just like the Left.
The American Left, the WoT's "American Bund".
