I've lurked on teen sites that have more intelligent answers than what those on DU come up with. Their main topic was still stuck on Fridays vote.

I tend to agree. I wish that Saddam had been shot "resisting" capture too. We are too bureaucratic to handle such case now it seems.

Just verified (as a possibility) on ABC World News with a lengthy piece. I'd say this rumor is a hot one.

The Jordanian investigative services are collecting the blood specimens for DNA analysis from the floor of the interrogation rooms as we speak....and they say torture doesn't work! ;-)

So, let's see here- this story by the AP is more then 20 paragraphs long about Al-zaraqawi possibly being dead....after a few brief paragraphs of how he may have died they quickly delve into American soldiers who sacrificed all....civilians who were killed...and Iraqi's who protested possible torture of criminals...of course the story is about the possible death of Al-Zaraqawi and I am taken by the following:
Number of sentences in the story talking about Al-Zaraqwi past atrocities = 0
Number of sentences in the story talking about Al-Zaraqwi claiming responsibility for the bombing of a weeding party in Iraq which killed innocent civilians= 0
Number of sentences in the story talking about Al-Zaraqwi calling for the beheading of the King of Jordan = 0
Number of sentences in the story talking about the 1000's who protested against Al-Zaraqwi in Jordan= 0
Number of sentences in the story talking about how Al-Zaraqwi's family took out half-page ads in Muslim papers denouncing him= 0
and the media wonder's why the level of distrust..

"But keep in mind that Zarqawi never would have attacked hotels in Jordan if we hadn't invaded Iraq."
That would be inaccurate. He tried in 2000 to blow up multiple hotels, but failed.

Sorry but I think that would be sarcasm is more accurate.
