At least one Arab television media outlet reported that Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the head of the al-Qaida in Iraq, was killed in Iraq on Sunday afternoon when eight terrorists blew themselves up in the in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul.

The unconfirmed report claimed that the explosions occurred after coalition forces surrounded the house in which al-Zarqawi was hiding.

WASHINGTON, Nov 20 (Reuters) - U.S. authorities are looking into whether al Qaeda in Iraq leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi was killed in a gunfight in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul, a U.S. official said on Sunday, but a White House spokesman said that was "highly unlikely."

over arching thing

IMHO Zarqawi's overarching thing consists of doing Satan's handiwork.

"Zarqawi has died more than once, then came back to life. The dude is awesome!"

This makes me more sad than angry. Your post saying that the death of Zarqawi should be something for both sides of the political spectrum to celebrate is spot on. To think that there are Americans pulling for the guy because they hate Bush and America in her Constitutional form, is quite diheartening. Oh, I know we'll prevail in the end, but it really sucks to know..

Yes, but most American's will think "Zarqawi is dead", well that is great, but what does it mean? And, it is important that the president explains what it means to as many Americans as possible before then forget about it.

It would be sweet. I'm sure they can make a positive ID from remains

Then, wrap what's left of his sorry a$$ with a side of pork and send him to hell with the rest of his worthless followers.....

The DU doesn't represent most American's it doesn't even represent most dims.

I remember a post after 911 on DU that was mocking Bush for calling Bin Laden evil after 911 saying that Bin Laden probably looks just how Jesus did before he was crusified. And, the post went on to say that after 911 the first thing that poster thought when he/she saw Bin Laden was 'that man looks just like Jesus'.

As a person who mostly eats ground beef and chicken and, on rare occasions, splurges on some pork chops...I think that would be a waste of a good side of pork!

;-)

The Seattle Pee Eye just slurped their hero Zarqawi with a long wet kiss.

Ex-cellmate says al-Zarqawi was tortured

I'm with you. The death of Zarqawi should be a common want and need for all. I visit those left-wing sites just to get a pulse of what they are saying. I get angry at them and just holler out loud at some of their comments. What bothers me is they think if we leave Iraq and stop supporting Israel, the radical Islamic terrorists will not strike us, ever again. They couldn't be more wrong. I doubt if any of them know what is going on in Indonesia and the Philippines, where the senseless murders of innocent Cristians and others are reported virtually every day.

BTW, I am not registered at any of those foul-mouthed, left-wing, low-life, loser sites.

Have a good evening, and I extend my apology for misunderstanding your comment.

Simply put, the DU is garbage. Just addled people posting any nonsense they want to. They are reality challenged - they live in their own dreamworld.
