At least one Arab television media outlet reported that Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the head of the al-Qaida in Iraq, was killed in Iraq on Sunday afternoon when eight terrorists blew themselves up in the in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul.
The unconfirmed report claimed that the explosions occurred after coalition forces surrounded the house in which al-Zarqawi was hiding.
WASHINGTON, Nov 20 (Reuters) - U.S. authorities are looking into whether al Qaeda in Iraq leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi was killed in a gunfight in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul, a U.S. official said on Sunday, but a White House spokesman said that was "highly unlikely."

AQ apologizes for the wedding bombing according to Al Jazeera.

Well how sad are the liberals today, that will gage the validity of the rumor.

Or maybe make Murtha mope and moan?
Let's hope so.
"While you're at it, you might mention to them the "Merry Christmas" in #37."
Hmmmmmm.......missed that one.
I'll believe it when I see the official statement from U.S. Central Command. I'd love to see this be true, but Zarq has been "killed" or "captured" more times than you can shake a stick at.
"Yes the president must do a prime time (9PM) announcement to the nation if he really was killed."
I say the President should fly to Iraq to surprise the troops for Thanksgiving. Only this time he can have Mr. Z's head on the platter instead of a turkey.
That same thought crossed my mind, did hee became suicidal because his family denounced him?
(not to mention half the world is looking to kill him)

lol! how about cheeseburger macaroni?
One of the generals on Fox said that they had Zarquawi in their sites from, I believe, an unmanned plane, and that permission was denied from somewhere up the food chain to strike. I heard him say this either last night or this morning. He said it was well known in military circles, but had not made the media yet. Maybe the boots on the ground helped take care of the problem without having to go up the chain of command for permission.
Andy Stevenson?
And you are obviously still breathing.... May you have a long, happy, healthy life. and a Happy Thanksgiving!
The Dems as always will recieve their talking points by decoding the rumblings, growls and groans within that orifice in which they holster their heads.
'Should've happened to Saddam too.
It was Dec. 13.
