i.e. streetpreacher
Please do not feed the troll. Check the tagline. This one just wants a fight.
We're never going to find a politician we agree with 100% and I've seen some things that Allen has said or done that I don't agree with (like think the president should meet with Cindy Sheehan), but I like him too. And am willing to keep an eye toward '08 with him in mind.
I hadn't realized Rush was supporting him; that's good to know.
Are you on something? My argument was that what Murtha and the Democrats were doing was a coordinated effort and designed to give them a win-win for any eventuality that happened in Iraq. Polls only came up later as an ancillary issue when the discussion morphed into whether the American people are lessening their support for the war. That has nothing to do with the Democrat strategy.
We have been trying all day to point out to you why such data is suspect
No, you have been trying to point out why it is totally irrelevant. That is where we parted company.
In return those who have challenged the assumption have been accused of "Cheerleading" and "being stuck in denial".
Again, please refer me to my posts that made either assertion.
You have freepmail,787wow!!
Anyone who dissents from YOUR OPINION (you one-year FR veteran) is a TROLL! Give me a freakin' break!
Why are you attacking me? You suggested some things that should be done. I was letting you know that I do them.
If you think that's presenting myself as a superior person, you've misread my post.
And I've stated repeatedly what I think should be done and been attacked for it. If you haven't seen where I've stated what needs to be done, you need to go back and re-read my posts.
Show me where I've been an echo chamber for the DNC. I'll wait.
I believe that she said he was a member of the state legislature.
Exactly, its a world wide war on terror.
Both these two CIA people were new to me. Thanks for letting us know she had been on HARDBALL before. While I was watching this most attractive CIA female spy, and especially when they were talking about Valerie Plame, I just had to wonder why blonde babes?
Yes he was, but the need for good communicative skills is highest in times of crisis. FDR knew that full well, as did Churchill. In times of crisis, it's important to be able to bring together millions of people with divergent views and needs. You can only do that with effective communication, no matter how good your administration is.
Now you're attacking my tagline... and posting about me behind my back. Do you actually think you own the threads here that you start? News flash GENIUS, this is a PUBLIC FORUM!!!!!! GET A FREAKIN' CLUE!
Now if you want to dispute what I wrote which is only my opinion, then feel free to do that. But don't question my motives or engage in this childish behavior because you will only continue to look more ridiculous than you already do.
Yes. Rep. Jean Schmidt was reading a message from a phone call from a Marine that said something to the effect that he wanted the message passed specifically to Murtha.
That was taken as an attack by the left. So they can call the president all sorts of names, and their comments are allowed to stand on the record. But Schmidt reads a phone message from a constituent and a Marine, and she had to have her comments taken off the record or risk censure.
"DON'T YOU DARE QUESTION THIS PRESIDENT'S COMMUNICATIVE SKILLS!!! YOU'RE JUST LOOKING FOR A FIGHT TROLLBAIT!! GET OFF OF THIS THREAD! YEARRGGGHHHH!!!"
As pointed out repeatedly. President Bush gives major speeches every week. Other then complain about his communication skills what have you done to help get the message out? I will give you just ONE example. Any time there is bad news, the article gets posted many many times here. There were a number of VERY good news stories last week. Not one of them posted until I had time to do it this AM. So when Freepers see this "The President has to fight back more" from the same handful of Freepers week in and week out and yet never see those SAME Freepers doing anything to help get the message out, we grow a little weary of being preached at by people who complain always but apparently do not DO anything.
And, I might add, if you read upthread, you will see that several freepers on this thread agree with me. So your comment that I think "I am the only person who sees this issue correctly" is 100% incorrect.
You need to do your homework on these Polls and you sound seriously so depressed that you are not about to listen to what other posters are trying to tell you. They play with these Poll questions to make the news to change people's minds, it is called manipulation and they are good at it. They got you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They know they people only catch snippets of news and so they choreograph these polls for the sound bites. Nobody is saying the numbers are not lower, but a lot of the numbers are from Republicans that disagree about Borders and other issues, and they are not 30% approval. They do not count on the Alternative media looking into why they poll only 23 % republicans when we know better. You are doing what they are doing, you are trying to depress others with your negativity.
That is NOT answering the question. Sorry but if you want to have "some intellectual honesty" answer the question. What do you think you accomplish acting as the DNC's echo chamber? Sorry but SandRat and Gucho post dozens of threads here about Iraq daily. Have you read ANY of them?
Still not answering questions posed to you. Interesting strategy.
Ms. Schmidt: Yesterday I stood at Arlington National Cemetery attending the funeral of a young marine in my district. He believed in what we were doing is the right thing and had the courage to lay his life on the line to do it. A few minutes ago I received a call from Colonel Danny Bop, Ohio Representative from the 88th district in the House of Representatives. He asked me to send Congress a message: Stay the course. He also asked me to send Congressman Murtha a message, that cowards cut and run, Marines never do. Danny and the rest of America and the world want the assurance from this body - that we will see this through.
