No matter how much we wish to not believe the sinking poll numbers of both the president and support for the war, there is a lessening of support for both.

And it's a direct result of over a year of people who don't pay attention to the news the way we do and hearing the MSM and left proclaim the war is based on lies. That MUST be countered and countered repeatedly.

That is exactly right, but many here do not agree with that assessment. Over-confidence is a dangerous state of mind.

I am tired of his antics. They are getting nuttier every time he speaks. He should just go home and stay there. Who cares what he thinks? I can remember going across the River to buy gasoline and the interest rates were very high. We have never had a more worthless person in the White House.

I don't know how much longer NBC will tolerate Monkey Boy and his disrespect for the President. I never ever heard of such pathetic acting out as I have seen in Monkey Boy and Moron from AbC. Sam Donaldson was tame and respectful next to those Girlie men idiots. The way they behave is like a Conservative Reporter White House Press guy asking Jimmy Carter why he killed that Rabbit in such a vicious, cruel way, or why did he try such a stupid assed stunt to free hostages in Iran. "Why did you not do anything about the fuel shortages and gas lines"? "Your incompetent boob Administration sat back on your tone deaf butts and did nothing". Freepers can make up their own scenerio, but this is close to comparison.

Thank you for completing Hayworths reason for saying what he did...I also believe he told Hannity that President Bush is planning on spending time on the border, in TExas and Arizona during the holidays...and speaking to all kinds of people about the problem...

George and Laura Bush received a standing ovation as they entered the Gangwashi Christian Church in China today.

Guess who will be here tomorrow to sign his new book! None other than McCain himself. I do not plan on going.

If Drudge is reporting it is Armitage...how come there is a thread that says that it is KNOWN that Stephen Hadley was Woody's source?

My Jack Russell dog

My Sam, you certainly have a talented dog. ;)

I suppose you're right about Carter. Though I lived through his presidency and even then, when I was a flaming liberal, I hated the guy.

How well I remember those long gas lines, 17% interest rates and oh my, America's "general malaise".

That being said, my new take on things is to forget that these people who hate America are working from an idealology. I'm going to squint mine eyes and try to follow the money.

Because every time the Dems get some liberal Mooonbat to go out and bash this country and our war on Iraq, there's always a connection.

Cindy Sheehan was part of Joe Wilson's camp. Even saw a pic of them together at some committee or another.

Murtha stuffed money in his pants pockets during Abscam so why would I NOT think he's been on the take again?

Pelosi's got the Moonbats in San Fran that she represents but ahhhhhh, there's money in her past too, associated with Murtha.

I am more jaded and cynical and simply refuse to believe that billions and billions of dollars were floating around all over the planet courtesy of Saddam and absolutely NO ONE in American politics knew a thing about it.

Hey, I'll go one step further. I think what with Condi going to state and Goss going to CIA there's some serious housecleaning going on. And lots of things are being discovered.

My new mantra? FOLLOW THE MONEY.

Let me end by adding that once names of politicos fall there's going to be hell to pay. Americans understand this sort of thing. By this scenario, I can understand why they can stand proud and tell blatent lies so easily. They are protecting THEMSELVES. They know they did wrong and they know they will be caught.

It's my story and I'm sticking to it.

We can also say the same for your former Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher.

Some freepers have freepmailed me that they have made the same argument that we've made, and been taken to task for it. I know that at least two of these freepers have active duty military family members actually IN Iraq and another who has been there but is back now.

My stepson served in Iraq in 2003 and has talked to us about the state of morale as well. And I see in my own family the state of confusion over what is true and what is not true.

We all know the truth and feel comfortable with our stance because we pay a lot of attention to the news. Far more than most people have the time or inclination to do. The busy families and politically naive just hear what the media says and after a while, it resonates with them, and they start to believe we were lied into going to war.

As well, I have never seen a good reason as to why our side should let lies remain in the public consciousness. We don't let our kids get away with lying to us and neither should an administration let the other side get away with something so serious as the charge that we were lied into going to war.

We've seen numerous articles alluding to this and the left is licking their chops. Republicans had better be smart and start playing offense instead of defense.

Absolutely. If the Dems get a majority, their first order of business will be to start the impeachment process. How the "R"s havent seen this up until is unfathomable to me. Having said that, I think the "R"s are waking up-as I posted earlier, the Veterans Day speech followed closely by the Cheney speech with the House vote on Friday, in my mind shows thet theyr are willing to start fighting. We have always commented on the immaturity level of the left on this board, but to see it displayed for all to see on CSPAN was quite revealing. It was like kids in a store being told they couldnt have something and the throwing a fit!

It has sorta been a big week for us...remember what happened at the first of the week, when all but 13 Republicans voted for that disaster of a Warner Amendment???

NOW, if what happened Friday, gets any of those other Senators to change their minds...and give the POTUS and CIC, and "vote of confidence"...instead of the Warner Amendment, THEN, it will be okay...but, unless and until that happens...

I am afraid it was a draw.

" I just watched the whole Murtha interview."

Murtha makes Cindy Sheehan look sane. Ranting and raving crazy grandpa territory.
I didn't think he could outdo himself , but, he did.
First thing he does is take a cheap shot at President Bush in China-but, nobody better say one word about St Murtha.
Adding to his prior remarks that our troops were occupiers, the enemy, full of substandard recruits, the reason for terrorism and the catalyst for violence-
he added today that everyone in the field was lying when they told him things were going well in Iraq.
From the commanders to the NCOs to the soldiers in the field- they all told him things were going well, but, " he could see it in their eyes " that they were just following orders. They didn't believe what they were saying.
Every soldier in Iraq knows that it's a failure.
Every Iraqi citizen hates our soldiers.
BTW-Col Oliver North said that the troops are demoralized-they believed they were winning until they came home and were told they were losing.
Murtha said he had a Captain come into his office and complain that the Geneva Convention was not being followed by our soldiers.
I'd bet anything it was Captain Ian Fishback . His story of witnessing first hand criminal abuse has been discredited.
Of all the crap Murtha threw on the troops, what I found most offensive was the way he described all wives at Walter Reed.
" They cannot stand to look at their horribly disfigured husbands."

What do you expect when they have 29% Republicans in the polls? I do not trust any of them.

Some Elton John thing been playing here. He's being interviewed on Ovation, and doing solo snippets. "Inside the Actors Studio"
Oh, and reruns of "Leave it to Beaver" too.
