When I was in graduate school, I witnessed something that bears out what you're saying.
There was a Christian group called Living Waters whose members would preach in "free speech alley" on a daily basis. On this particular day there was a heckler who interrupted the preaching with comments on how Christianity oppressed women. Well, one of the girls got up to preach and the heckler's attitude changed. He started making lewd remarks and finally jumped up on the platform and grabbed her breasts, laughing all the while.
The leader of the group, who was 6'2" and who worked out on a daily basis, came up behind this punk, grabbed him around the neck and politely asked/told him to apologise.
About that time, a university cop just happened to wander by and let the idiot know that the girl had every right to press charges of assault against him. She graciously forgave him instead.
This was an ephiphany for me. It showed me that leftist men are all for "women's rights" as long as the woman agrees to have sex with them or agrees to an abortion. If not, their latent misogyny comes out. This is no real surprise, when you consider how much leftism is dominated by homosexuals.
The hatred of homosexuals for women is very well documented. (I have a story/revelation about that as well, but that is for another day.)
