"And you're outraged over a letter Schmidt cited from a
Marine officer in Iraq calling Murtha on his heinous perfidy?"
With this kind of misinformation I'm not surprised you're defending her. The letter she read was from State Rep. Danny Bubp, a former Marine who is currently "serving" in Columbus, Ohio in the State House. He is not serving in Iraq. Get your facts straight.

Sorry, but you need to get your facts straight...he's a reservist. Parsing words here and choosing to believe the worse sounds very much like the liberals we face in the media every darn second of the day.
Quite frankly, if the woman wants to call the former marine a coward, so be it. Because he once was brave, does not make him so now.
This is all a campaign orchestrated by the victocrats--the John Kerry "this is about me Swift Boat" analogy says it right there. There were no personal attacks and if there were, so what? Repubs apologize too much.
I get that you're trying to take the high road, but this is life and death and it's not the time to pussyfoot around and worry about hurt feelings when people are DYING. It just shows what babies the dems are--they can dish it out, but they can't take it. And if they whine enough the Repubs will apologize and appease. That's the real shame. Sticks and stones...you know...

Your tagline reads: (Defeat Jean Schmidt and Paul Hackett in 2006!)
Please explain, at first blush this appears inconsistent with your screen name. :-)

If Murtha is the tough Marine that he claims to be, I'm sure he can handle name calling. I am NOT willing to put up with another Democratic "cut and run" foreign policy that John Kerry, Ted Kennedy, et al. supported. The Democratic Congress "cut and ran" from Viet Nam despite the Military Victories and were deafeningly quiet when millions of Cambodians died.
They were deafeningly quiet when fellow vets were spat at. They were deafeningly quiet when all hope slipped away from the Vietnamese as they desperately reached for the last US helicopter as it lifted away. Why do you begrudge a fellow Marine from speaking his mind when he says, "Cowards cut and run, Marines don't."?
You have a thin skin, get over it. Murtha will survive this "vicious" attack. Be happy that the Democrats lost the vote because millions of Iraqis would not survive the US' premature "cut and run" redeployment as proposed my the hero Murtha.

I believe he is (or recently was) the President, of the Marine Corps Reserve Association, and the Staff Judge Advocate of the Marine Corps League as well.
So, he may not be in Iraq (and I don't believe Shmidt ever said he was), but he most certainly is a "serving" Marine.
