No matter how inaccurate the personal attacks are against him, they claim it's ok to make them just because they don't like his politics.
You're doing exactly the same thing. Rep. Murtha put in 37 years in the Marines and Reserves. He may be many things, but he's no coward and doesn't need anyone telling him what Marines do. His proposal was disgraceful and totally irresponsible, which any intelligent Republican could have pointed out. Instead of doing that, Schmidt took the cheap route and managed to make him look like the victim. Ask President Kerry how well these tactics work with the electorate.
