Stunt or not, Murtha had called for the immediate withdrawal of troops the day before. The pubbies brought it up for a vote. The dems got what they asked for; plain and simple, and then didn't have the testicles to "put their money where their mouths were".

I just emailed my liberal rep in the House (Kanjorski), thanking him for his "no" vote, and support of the troops and President. I really do appreciate him voting this way; it's about time! (snicker, snicker).

Yeah...they were all crying about how this deserves more time...and it shouldn't be done in one evening..and they should have hearings like they did before pulling out of Vietnam....

BUT, they had plenty of time to debate BEFORE the majority voted FOR the resolution to give President Bush the power to go to war, if he saw fit.

Also, the fact that Murtha and gang pulled THEIR stunt while President Bush is out of the country on a tricky diplomatic multiple country visit...shows how LITTLE they care about whether President Bush uses diplomacy rather than the military....blech
