"Union of Reform Judaism" = "Not *really* Judaism,
we jusy "say" we're jews, but we're really just a
bunch of posuers protecting each others perversions
and worship of Beezlebub, and using judaism as a way
to cry "persecution" any time someone calls us on
being the soul damned perverted scum we are'.
A little girl that is a friend of my eldest daughter is Jewish by heritage, is an agnostic if not an outright athiest, and has never been to Temple that I know of...and considers herself Jewish. Sounds like she would fit right in with this fellow.
You said. A lot of them think of themselves as Jews, but more as a cultural or ethnic thing than as a faith. It's a shame really.
Oh well. As tragic as it is to see a once vibrant and heavily contributive denomination of faith die, noone will be able to say they didn't see this one coming. Too many intermarriages, too few in the pews, not enough kids and not a strong enough faith.
