Operation Gratitude Update The Holiday Drive Has Begun!
Dear Friends, The Operation Gratitude Holiday Drive kicked off over the Veteran's Day Weekend and was a huge success! With rock music blaring, more than 1000 volunteers assembled, labeled and shipped 16,028 packages at a record-setting pace! And to everyone's surprise and delight, the first package has already been received by a sailor deployed in the Persian Gulf:
"Greetings, I received my package today and the gratitude shown by your organization is so appreciated. As you already know I am deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and receiving mail is one of the highest morale boosters for everyone deployed away from their families. I wanted to express my deepest appreciation and say Happy Holidays to everyone at Operation Gratitude. God Bless With great respect and admiration." YN1 C.O.
HOLIDAY DRIVE 2005 Continues...
There is still time to join our 3rd Annual Operation Gratitude Holiday Drive to send at least 30,000 care packages addressed to individual service members. The Holiday Drive will continue during the Thanksgiving Weekend, November 25-27 and throughout December. We need donations! Urge your family, friends, neighbors, co-workers and colleagues to organize Collection Drives and Letter Writing Campaigns. Help us reach our goal of sending the 100,000th Operation Gratitude care package by year end!!
We will be accepting Wish List items and Letters through December 15. Please send your donations to:

Some great Americans...
Major General Hertling gave a moving speech to the volunteers that made many of us cry...
Soldier and civilian working together on a box of love ...
Yes, LUV, the one day I wasn't there, look who showed up. And beside him are my "girls" Carolyn (OpGrat founder) and SSG Cowie (she LOVES golden oldies)...
Lotsa boxes, lotsa love ...
Thanks for the boost, FRiend.
Dita, I'm as grateful for the pics, as I am for all the great and nice things that you and others ship to us.
Such wonderful smiles on all the ladies, too!
Hi, Old Sarge!
It is really heart-warming to participate in the war effort, just like our parents did in WWII.
I want you to know it wasn't ALL fun.
The blaring oldies were REALLY moldy...!
*Hugs*
Oh, now what's the matter with a few classics, eh?
Man shall not live by hip-hop alone...
"Don't Rock the Boat, Baby!"
"One, Two, Three, Four, Five O'Clock Rock!"
"Macarena!"
Argh... Nothin' I can do, SHE's the Sarge... ;-)
Thank you both so much, from a grateful citizen!
Which one is you, Dita? Great photos - how heartwarming to see. Thanks!

Thank you so much for the updates. If anything this article boosted my moral alone. Thank you all so much for the continuous support for all that are involved.
Thanks for the ping. I hope to be doing something similar soon. There are a great many people who want to show their appreciation to our troops. Great job everyone!
Great job Ms. Dita. You so rock... and roll! ;]
Timing is everything, isn't it? Sheesh!
