They also have a Christmas ship at the retail store near my store. They also sell Nativity scenes as well. This time of year, people enjoy spreading rumors and misinformation, it gives them the meaning for the season I guess.

I need a wishing tree...I wish those supermodels would stop calling me, and start paying attention to the restraining order.

Just looked online and they still call them Christmas Trees there... But you can send a "Wish Mail" to someone letting them know what your desires are.. lol.

Read about this trend. So, I went to a local Sears, picked up a few hundred dollars of items then asked for the store manager. When he arrived, I handed him the items, explaining that I will never shop at a chain or store that bans the words Merry Christmas or so blatantly discriminates against 85% of the American population (Christians for those of you in Rio Linda).

He was still standing there without saying a word as I walked away.

I love going to those places and asking where the Christmas trees are while standing next to the "Wishing Tree" area.

This is getting sickening. Could someone please direct me to a national chain that still says the word Christmas?

I'd rather hear "Happy Holidays" at least until after Thanksgiving. IMHO, the time for "Merry Christmas" really doesn't start until mid-December.

I am going to wait until after Thanksgiving and them I am going to inform people, when they wish me a Happy Holiday or whatever, "IT IS CALLED CHRISTMAS, THIS IS THE SEASON OF CHRISTMAS". Always was always will be. I can be quite obnoxious about something like this. I can see myself screaming at some poor clerk who is just doing what she has been told to "take that euphemism for Christmas and stuff it where the son don't shine".

And, to piggyback, I noticed during a trip to Hobby Lobby that ALL the Christmas decorations had

HO HO HO
HOPE, LOVE
TRA-LA-LA
PEACE
HOLIDAY WISHES

et al, with NO mention of CHRISTmas.... Sickening!

Just because Christmas trees and Easter eggs had their genesis in something pagan does not prevent them having a different meaning now.

It is called ... tradition ... family tradition ...
memories of wonderful times past ... symbols of the American experience.

Merry Christmas !

Our family is thinking of doing the same. Our two 13 year olds don't really want much this year, and I can't think of a thing I want. Same for my wife. We are truly blessed. Not rich, just blessed with all we need.

I am looking for some good ideas on how to spend a good Christmas/Wishing Season this year. In the meantime, thanks be to God for the gift of His Son to us all.

Why is it that Christmas offends so many people, yet at Halloween, I see fake graveyards, fake skeletons, fake monsters and no one gets upset.

Christmas is okay for kids, but I still have a tough time understanding why I have to go out and buy a cheap, useless present for my rich relatives who in exchange give me some cheap, useless crap that I usually donate to Goodwill in January. Does it all make sense. I would much rather have donation to animal rescue place or something like that. Cards are okay, but why receive a card from someone that has their name preprinted on it. What sense does that make either?
