After this week's message of "cut and run" outrage this may seem like a small thing but one positive thing we can do right now for our troops is send them a Christmas message of support. No rants - just letting them know the ways that we love and support them. They need to hear this more than ever and what better way than a Christmas letter.
Working with FR's own Merry Band of Patriots, you can FReepmail me the message from you/your family. No need for your full name but your location would be nice so the troops can see these messages come from all over the USA. I will print them out of Christmas stationary and send them Priority Mail to our contacts around Iraq and Afghanistan. These contacts will see that our guys/gals get to see your messages to them.
This is a must read folks!!!!!
There are wonderful supportive Americans out there! People with ping lists get ready set and go! You will love this article. :)

If you are interested and/or want to support what Free Republic Merry Band of Patriots are doing for our troops at Christmas and actually all year long - please see the above link.
Glad to see you popping in. May you and yours have a safe and blessed Thanksgiving and Christmas season. You're doing great work! Despite some terrorists successfully slaughtering worshippers at mosques, this has not been a good week to be an evil coward. Thanks to the brave and professional efforts of our U.S. military and coalition partners.
Just asking everyone to spend a couple of minutes FReepmailing a message of support to daybreakcoming for delivery to our deployed troops. It would be nice if we could have messages from all 50 states and D.C. Please send a short FReepmail with hometown, and bump the thread. Thanks!
Bump for later.
Hi,
just thought I would congratulate you and all of the patriots involved in this Operation Chirstmas. And of course wish all of you a Merry Christmas, too.
These FReepmails to our troops that you will be printing out will be wonderful morale boosters for our adopted units in Tal Afar, in Mosul, in Kirkuk, at Ramadi, 2 in Baghdad, at Bagram air base near Kabul, Afghanistan, and a small little band posted to Kosovo.
There are thousands of soldiers that these messages will reach in the war zones.
Any FReeper who has left over Christmas cards from last year, please sign one with a quick line or two of thanks and appreciation to our troops and mail it to one of the captains for the Christmas projects or to me. (Just FReepmail daybreakcoming or me for an address.)
I will be making up boxes of Christmas cards and last minute DVD movie additions to go to 8 different units, so those who want to can mail up to 8 cards to be divided into my 8 boxes.
These boxes of cards and movies and computer games will be mailed out on December 3, so your cards to the troops have to reach me by December 2. If you mail them to me by next Saturday, November 26, by first class mail, they should reach me in time here in California.
I would also like to ask particularly for drawings and homemade cards from children, your own, your neighbor's, or children attending your homeschools or regular schools.
Thank you notes to our troops at Thanksgiving would be a wonderful project and gesture. Our team captains and I would love to have some to include in our boxes.
Thanks to all for your wonderful support in the past. Please ping everyone you know to this thread.
Here's the thread where all the packages of goodies are going out to the troops...including 8 Christmas trees!
Care Packages for our Troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, 2005
