[Hollywood star JOHNNY DEPP is so shocked by the riots raging through France, he's considering abandoning his home in the country.]
Depp and Paradis moved to France to bring up their children because he said LA was too violent. Has he become disenchanted after the recent riots and curfews that spread out from Paris? "It's insane that setting cars on fire is the new strike. It takes a lot away. I'm sure it'll clear up to a certain degree, but now we are based back in LA because I have work here. I went there [to France] to live because it seemed so simple. Now it's anything but. I don't know how they'll recover from this."

I tend to agree with him on the american culture = disaster thing.
There is more evidence of it every day. Like for example, a movie starring a gangsta rapper which glorifies the lifestyle at the premiere of which a gangsta gets shot to death.

To be honest, I think that there was a mini controversey over that. He did not say that on the air and the interview was printed in a German language mag.
I know Depp responded saying that is was an aggregious twisting of his words and almost (if he didn't) sued for slander.
His response is out there somewhere, and it is pretty earnest.
Now, now, didn't 50 Cent say that the shooting had absolutely nothing to do with his movie.
And I believed him, did you? :-)

I hear PBS will be introducing a new kid's show based on the old Carmen Sandiago formula. It's slated to be called: "Where in the Hell is Johnny Depp Living This Week?"

In fact, he probably have no chances to see one of them. He and me don't live on the same "real" country. Chirac equally.
BTW, that wasn't a misspelling on my part. I believe he has changed his name to Jeanny in honor of his French ex-roots.
Doesn't get much stupider than Johnny Dipp.
Someone needs to tell him about the wonderful, safe streets in Somalia. That would be a great place for him.
