I lost my Dad to it almost 16 years ago and now, our neighbor, at about 34, has been told that she has 3-6 months. It sucks!
Lost my dad last April. Lung cancer.
Just me maybe but I suspect that the illness is more profitable to the medical industry than the cure would ever be.......just my thoughts of course.

They told my Dad the same thing and he told the young Doctor he'd live to piss on his grave (Dad was if anythinga people person :o)........
Give the lady all the support ya can even if it's just a small 5 dollar plant delivered when she home and hurting.....make her smile, lots of support if at all possible.
