Every good freeper should have a cache of atleast 8 long arms of the same type (2 weapons for each wall of a square house). More the better. My personal cache is eight Ruger Mini-14 in the Muzzelite Bullpup stock. Modified to mount a 4" Picatinny Rail under the Bullpup stock forearm to add accessories such as flashlite/foregrip/laser aiming point, etc. Overall length 26.5", short enough to deploy in a car, narrow hallways and etc. Sixteen inch barrel mounted in a plastic stock will not give pin point accuracy beyond a hundred yards, but it will hit a mansize target. In my neighborhood urban/suburban, firefights will be very close range. I still keep the wooden stocks just in case I need to remount the carbine back and increase its accuracy in more open space. Another buddy of mine owns twelve Marlin lever action carbines, all in the .357 magnum caliber, and several six shooters of the same caliber. He just stock up .38 cal/.357 mag rounds, and does not have to deal with detachable magazines. If each town has a handful of like minded survivalists, we will do fine. It is the disarmed liberal towns and cities that will come crawling to us begging for firearms, assuming they survive the looting, robbery and jihadist attacks.
