i guess what I'm getting at is that there is a segment of this nation that actually hates this country.
No matter how much we try to negotiate, work with, or massage, they fundamentally loathe America. (or AmeriKKKa, as they put it)
This used to be just a harmless fringe of wacko's, but today they are becoming more and more the leadership of the Democratic Party.
I simply cannot imagine Harry Turman or JFK hanging out with a random sample of Democrats today.
Hell, even LBJ or Henry Wallace, the "Progressive" quasi-socialist V.P. for FDR would question the priorities of the Democrats in congress today.
It used to be that Liberals and Conservatives were still basically Americans. But today one side of this equation is actually "ashamed" to be called American.
If they really hate this country so much, I'm tempted to just let them leave and start their little utopias in the San Fran Bay area....really, what would be the big loss?
I'd like nothing better than to let SF secede and form their own enclave, though I don't think they ever would. For them to do so would mean that they would have to first give up on making the whole country Communist. I think they'd rather see us dead first.

Oddly enough the KKK and white supremicist groups openly side with the America hating left. A socialist is a socialist be they National or Lenninist or Maoist.
Stormfront.org's group of idiots showed up at sheehan's little vigels. Skinheads provide security for anti-jewish leftists in Chicago, the 'black bloq' shows up regularly at Move-on/ANSWER "peace" protests.
These groups provide the plausible deniability muscle for the "anti-war" groups... A better term would be "Anti war where the US isn't being obliterated" groups
