I am appalled that this he is saying what he's saying. He has seroconverted from being part of the solution to part of the problem. Talking' about ABoob Grab, etc. Is he senile and being propped up. I don't know this guy. You always have to give a guy with his hx the benefit of the doubt, but this guy sounds like he's on dope. Tell me it ain't so. Citing numbers that he knows can be spun exactly opposite. "Put them on notice???" My god, AQ must be giggling and playing this as a recruiting tape.

I think you're pretty much dead on, except I'd add that the GOP has been blasted by its own membership, and by its media voices like Rush and Hannity over the spending and immigration issues, and now they see an issue they can all agree on. The trouble is, it's all tied together, but at least for now they can unite and make a very bold statement that will re-energize the base like nothing in some time (while, at the same time, really killing the Dem base, because so many Dems will have to vote for the war).
