I lived in Miami for three years (1999-2002). Loved it. Beautiful women, great nightlife, good food, better politics than Palm Beach or Broward, and NO INCOME TAX!
I spent many a happy hour in 47th Street Photo in the 1960's and bought my Nikon 8800 from B&H this year.
"Better politics than Palm Beach or Broward" - talk about damning with faint praise! ;-)
J&R ping?
Funny how people have a aversion to salespeople. A good salesman is the best thing business has going.
I always appreciate a good salesman. It's an indispensable skill.
Absolutely. In an effort to make the sale, a good sales person can provide invaluable information. This is particularly true if you're buying a technical piece of equipment.
The main problems I see today among sales guys is:
A)They push to hard to close the sale.
B) The know very little about the product.
Interestingly, the two stores that seem to have excellent sales people are relative newcomers, Circuit City and Virgin.

A good salesman WILL and MUST close the sale, the best ones will make it seem like fun.
B) is inexcusable.
That's true.
But you would not believe what they're putting on the sales floors these days.
