Are you saying nomads knew more about the origins of our world than todays enlightened scientists?
Genesis is not meant to be taken literally. Its a folk tale.
They already have Genesis in hand. I would venture to suggest that for them, the question is not whether God created the universe and life; the question is how God created the universe and life.

Personally I feel that both ID and Evo should be taught side by side, so students can decides for themselves - whether it be in a science class, philosophy class, or whatever.
If you don't believe what is stated in Genesis, why bother to believe ANY of it? I guess it's what they call being a "cafeteria" Catholic. How sad this must make God ... to see foolish people not giving Him the credit due Him and conforming to the world and it's ever lowering faith in anything.
