I DO hope you are not saying that Miers would have appeased them. She was entirely inappropriate. I disagree with Ollie in that I don't know that the war is more important than the border or the Supreme Court. Those are the grand triumvirate of issues we're looking at right now. Without fixing all three, the game may well be over.
