I just heard the phoney "Texas Conservative Commentary" this morning on the radio. She makes it sound like it's a regular feature for the station like the Cal Thomas Commentary or others. I find that to be misleading and should be stopped.

Strayhorn is a non-starter but I've had it up to here with Perry. I'm voting for Kinky. Can't be any worse.

"One tough Grandma!"

(WE NOW TAKE YOU TO THE HILLARY FOR PRESIDENT WAR ROOM)

HEAD OF FREEPER RESEARCH: "Hey! The Freepers seem to like it when women running for office are grandmas"

HILLARY: "Really? Get me Chelsea's doctor on the phone"

CHELSEA'S DOCTOR: "Hello"

HILLARY: "Hey doc, is that brat still screwing that little snot she's been hanging around with? No matter if she is or not give her sugar pills that look like birth control pills from now on!"

CHELSEA'S DOCTOR: "I can't do that! She a patient and..."

HILLARY: "Shaddup you little p*ick! I have your f**king FBI file you f'ing b*stard mother f'ing son of a you know you now you know you now you know!! Remember Vince? I said DO YOU REMEMBER VINCE??"

CHELSEA'S DOCTOR: "OK! OK! I'll do it"

HILLARY (turning to Freeper researcher): "OK! We have that taken care of! What's next??"

JOHN MCCAIN (after popping head up from under Hillary's dress): "Can I be VP? Can I? Can I? please!? Oh, can I stop? I've been down here for an hour."

HILLARY: "Sure, you nutcase. Hey! Someone call Rosie O'Donnell! Captain McQueeg is tired again!"

Screw Streyhorn. RINO writ large. Her entire campaign seems to be railing against whatever stupid thing Perry has done without actually offering up a solution.

I'm voting for Tom Eaker.

"I've started to see her bumper stickers all over the place."

I'm curious -- in which part of the state do you live?

Here in the DFW area, I'm hearing Strayhorn radio spots, but have yet to see a bumper sticker.

I know the Austin-area and central Texas corridor opponents are well organized and wonder if that's where you are.

It's amazing to me that the Democrats haven't put up a strong candidate. They probably could have taken the governor's mansion next year, given how fed up many voters are with Perry and how unappealing Strayhorn is.

I am not real fond of Rick Perry but he is a great deal more conservative than that "One tough grandma" Strayhorn.
I think we would be getting "Ma Richards II" if she were elected.

NE Texas, which is a corridor area (59).. Its interesting because there actually seems to be a lot more support for the corridor here as mid sized cities are seeing this as a potential boom for their economy.

I have not seen any Strayhorn stickers. But what is the straight poop about the state income tax?

>>Comptroller Carole Keeton Strayhorn has been relatively quiet since launching her campaign in June.<<

Huh? I've heard at least a dozen of her commercials on radio, and I don't listen to over the air radio that much.

How can a flaming lib be any worse....especially when you elect him to a job he thinks is a joke for a reality show. Do the state a favor.....don't vote./

It doesn't matter who's elected. They'll just continue the Austin politician tradition of treating anything north of I-20 and West of I-35 like a red-headed step child anyway.

But what is the straight poop about the state income tax?

Just a little insight into her logic:
http://www.window.state.tx.us/news/40628taxcredit.html
...Citizens in Texas and seven other states are denied fair and equitable tax treatment because they have no state income tax,..."The current system is unfair," Strayhorn said. "It discriminates against Texans and the citizens of other states who have decided against a state income tax. As a result, Texans pay a higher percentage of taxes to the federal government than their neighbors in Oklahoma and Arkansas, which have a state income tax. That's wrong.

"An Oklahoman who pays a state income tax can deduct that amount from her or his federal tax return. But the antiquated federal law punishes those of us who pay state and local sales taxes rather than state income taxes," Strayhorn said. "If Texas taxpayers could deduct sales taxes and motor vehicle sales taxes, the playing field would be level...."

Yes, Ma Richards the second thinks it's unfair that Texans don't have a State income tax they can deduct from their federal income tax.. Her logic is off the wall..

For what it's worth, Gov Perry spoke at the opening of the Lakewood Church in Houston and in that arena couldn't be more conservative. They were making note that in CA there is no way a Gov could be there speaking from his heart. I give him cudos for voicing his opinions and standing proud. Wish I lived there...CA is a disaster!

You are right, not just convoluted, but stochastic. Superstitious learning. Why is it that major corporations, one right after another, move here. Yes, we are in the middle. Life is good. The weather is mostly good. But this is Texas! That is the difference. Deductions? Work for yourself, get all the deductions you can handle.
